  • The AgriLeader is a biannual college magazine produced by Texas A&M University.

Featured as the Fall 2018 issue’s cover story, my article tells the journey of Melanee Kate Thomas, a photographer specializing in children.

  • Flowers, fruits, and vegetables: the Urban Howdy Farm grows it all. Run by students, this farm brings sustainable production to the heart of Texas A&M University’s campus.

The farm’s rain garden had a problem. It lacked explanation, forcing visitors to draw their own conclusions about its function.

My educational sign solved that challenge by showing visitors the rain garden’s design and purpose.

  • The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) investigates and educates the public about native plants.

BRIT wanted to increase visitor learning and engagement in the public garden.

My solution was an educational herb station. Accompanying it was a matching game. I illustrated individual herb cards to go along the content I’d written.

The game was met with success, attracting the more challenging audience of adult visitors.
